The Project Brief
Vestel had a non-responsive website that was hard to update. They wanted to bring their proposition up to date with an easy to use solution.
The brief was to create a site that current brand values, plus showcase internal brands. The website needed to provide the option to easily update and revise the proposition if changes were required at short notice, or if a major brand change was instigated from the Turkish head office.
Client
The UK-based subsidiary of the Turkish appliance & consumer electronics manufacturer. The largest TV producer in Europe.
The Solution
Insite Web first worked with Vestel to understand their internal resources and the time available to make ongoing changes to the website. This was crucial to delivering a site that was both highly functional and would not date quickly due to complexity.
Following this analysis, our solution was to re-use much of the work from their Servis website. We used the existing CMS platform (ExpressionEngine) layout that they were already familiar with as the basis of the new site, with the SEO tools developed so the site ranked well organically.
The site styling was developed following their new brand guidelines. New content and copy was produced to showcase the sub-brand, their key features, selling points and customer support.
A new focus was placed on other offerings, featuring Business to Business and LED lighting.

The Results
Traffic to the new website increased significantly due to a large improvement in organic performance compared to the previous site.
The platform proved easy for the internal team to edit. This enabled Vestel to add a PR update section featuring regularly updated details about the company together with up-to-the-minute news stories.
